Terms of Use
Last updated 10 September 2026
The agreement
These terms are between you and AvanSaber Inc., which publishes ExplorePDF. By downloading, installing or using the ExplorePDF apps, or by using this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
If you obtained ExplorePDF through the Apple App Store, Apple's own terms also apply to that copy, and where they conflict with these terms for that copy, Apple's terms win.
What you get
ExplorePDF is free. We grant you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to install and use the apps on devices you own or control, for any purpose, personal or commercial. There is no fee, no seat count and no expiry.
What you may not do
- Redistribute, sell or sublicense the apps, or present them as your own product. Linking to this website is always welcome.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the apps, except to the extent the law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
- Remove or alter any copyright or attribution notice.
- Use the apps to process material you have no right to process.
Apps obtained from the Apple App Store
This section applies only to a copy of ExplorePDF obtained through the Apple App Store, and adds to the terms above rather than replacing them. Apple requires it.
- This agreement is between you and AvanSaber Inc. only, and not with Apple. AvanSaber Inc., not Apple, is solely responsible for ExplorePDF and its content.
- For that copy, your licence is limited to using ExplorePDF on Apple branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including through Family Sharing.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for ExplorePDF.
- If ExplorePDF fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund what you paid for it, which is nothing. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind, and any other claim arising from a failure to conform to a warranty is ours to answer.
- Any claim that ExplorePDF or your use of it fails to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement, or arises under product liability or consumer protection law, is ours to answer rather than Apple's.
- Any third party claim that ExplorePDF infringes an intellectual property right is ours to investigate, defend, settle and discharge.
- You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of this section, and Apple has the right to enforce it against you.
Our contact details for questions or complaints about ExplorePDF are in the Contact section at the end of this page.
Your documents are yours
We claim no rights of any kind over the files you open, produce or save with ExplorePDF. We never receive them: the apps process everything on your own device. See the privacy policy for the detail.
No warranty
ExplorePDF is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement. We do not warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any particular document will be processed the way you expect.
Keep your originals. Where ExplorePDF names an output itself it writes a numbered name rather than replacing an existing file, and where you name it yourself the system save panel asks before replacing anything. That is a safeguard rather than a guarantee. Any tool that writes files can fail, and the responsibility for keeping a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose is yours.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AvanSaber Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of ExplorePDF or this website.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for ExplorePDF, which is zero, or ten United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the two paragraphs above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update the apps, this website, or these terms. When we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use ExplorePDF after a change means you accept the updated terms.
We may stop distributing ExplorePDF at any time. A copy already installed on your device keeps working: the apps need no server and no licence check, so nothing we do can switch off a copy you already have.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
